FORMER England cricket captain Graham Gooch opened a new indoor cricket academy in Harlow.

Advanced Cricket Academy is based on Central Road off Edinburgh Way.

The centre is the brainchild of John O’Sullivan. Mr O’Sullivan is determined to give cricketers from Harlow and beyond the best opportunity to develop and improve their game.

With that in mind, the centre has state of the art, bowling equipment, which gives batsmen every opportunity to face every type of ball that may come at them. From googlies to yorkers. From medium pace to fast.

It literally is a game changer.

We went down to the launch. Our two films here are an interview with John O’Sullivan and a speech by Graham Gooch. Mr Gooch, who scored over 65,000 runs in his first class career, was “bowled over” by the equipment and implored players to use this opportunity in the heart of Harlow.
