A MAN has been charged with violent disorder and criminal damage following an incident in Epping on Thursday night.

Keith Silk, 33, of Torrington Drive, Loughton, was arrested yesterday morning and questioned by detectives from our serious crime directorate.

The Crown Prosecution Service has now authorised us to charge Keith Silk with:
• One count of violent disorder
• One count of criminal damage

He has been remanded into custody and will appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning (Monday 21 July).

Our investigations into the incidents which followed a peaceful protest in Epping on Thursday evening are continuing at pace and we thank the public for sharing vital information.
