FOLLOWING the arrests of six men in Epping last night, Sunday 20 July, Essex Police has now been authorised by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) to charge Dean Smith, 51, of Madells, Epping, with violent disorder. 

He is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Tuesday 22 July. 

Five other men remain in our custody, and we continue to be in regular dialogue with the CPS.
