Harlow’s Community Embrace nominated for BBC Make A Difference award

Charity / Thu 7th Aug 2025 at 06:56pm

A HARLOW organisation has been nominated for the prestigious BBC Make A Difference Award.

Community Embrace collect and distribute donated and surplus food and supplies through their community pantry and outreach programmes.

Based off Abercrombie Way, they have been at the heart of the Harlow community for many years.

Run By Herty Ama Twumwaa, they have been running since 2015 and were particularly a vital resource in the Covid years but they make their presence felt throughout the town and throughout the year.

We will have a full list of finalists in due course and we will see how they get on at the awards ceremony in September.
