Seven Essex political leaders sign joint open letter calling for calm in Epping.

THE signatories to this letter agree that the right to peaceful protest is a cornerstone of democracy.
The residents of Epping have experienced unprecedented levels of anxiety and disruption. People are hurt and dismayed. Since July, the lives of Epping residents have also been upended by a series of spontaneous and planned protests associated with the Bell Hotel.

Local civic leaders support the right to protest. However, there have been several well-documented instances of lawlessness associated with the demonstrations, considerably adding to the anxiety and concern of our residents. Local high street businesses are not immune to the impact of the demonstrations. Shop and office workers are also affected.
The scenes of violence have been played out on social media and national news. The Police continue to make arrests and bring people to court.
We appeal to the organisers of the twice-weekly demonstrations to consider the wider feelings of the people of Epping they seek to represent. As we come to the end of the summer, our community needs some respite from the on-going disruption.
We therefore say to you directly. Your demonstrations have placed Epping in the news headlines for weeks. Your voices have been heard. Now give our community breathing space. Allow Epping High Street to return to normal so that our businesses can trade, our children can go to school and our residents can go about their daily lives again.
Thank you.

First sign of any nonsence from the farage boys get the dogs our, coming from area's to create trouble.
From speaking to friends, family and other people in the town, I do not think that many people actually from Epping attend the protests now, and most residents have had enough and want the protests to stop. I fear they won't though, because they are being driven by far-right activists and Reform supporters from outside the town who don't really care about the community. They want to continue to intimidate, disrupt and divide, in an attempt to turn political opinion in their favour. And I don't think they care how much disruption and fear these "protests" cause as along as they get their way.
Farage is a creep - He fed off the death of those poor little girls in Southport last year - He should just go back to Europe or stick with Trump. This is our country Farage, we don't need you and your type here.
It is very clear that in desperation to collect voter sympathy all sorts of underhanded plots and plots have been activated. In past years people have been paid to cause trouble in protests which would otherwise been peaceful. Even in some extremes people have been given football tickets for away games. This activity has been going on for years it is a common tool of some political parties. So I wouldn't in fairness put Farage in the doghouse, but I would like to suggest that the end to the protesting and publicity machine ,ENDS NOW. WE ARE WLL FED UP OF IT.PUT A LID ON IT.
*Awaits to see if the above equally condem the protests in the tens of thousands disrupting the lives of everyday Londoners every weekend in support of Palestine, given protests and flags offend them. I fear I may have a long wait for the two teir system to become one.
Just a shambles. The disruption and chaos this is causing with hypocritical behaviour. Let the Town be the Clever Town it once was .
