Impressive performances by Harlow Gymnasts across the region

PENNY and Freya shone for Harlow gymnastics at the IGA National Levels South Competition 2025. Top gymnasts from the club and all over the South competed at the events held in Milton Keynes and West Oxfordshire during September and October.

Penelope-Blue B was rewarded with 2nd place overall in the Skill Seekers level 7 event after achieving gold on beam, silver on vault and 7th place on bars. Olive C placed 7th on bars, and shared 6th place on vault with teammate Ruby H, finishing in 18th and 17th place overall respectively, along with Teodora Z who placed 25th overall in the same event.

Freya S seized gold medal on floor and silver medal on bars as well as placing 7th on beam and 8th on vault, finishing in 5th place overall in the level 5 trailblazer event, with teammate Millie S earning bronze medal on floor, 7th place on bars, 8th, finishing in 7th place overall.

Dulcie K captured the silver medal on bars and finished in 11th place overall, in the level 6 trailblazer event. In the same event, Marcie S collected bronze on beam and finished in 8th place overall, while Lottie N placed 8th on beam and 25th overall.

Further medal joy in the Level 10 Mini Marvels event where Royah A won the gold medal on vault, as well as placing 8th on bars, finishing in 12th place overall. After a solid performance in the same event, Dolly G placed 15th overall.

In the level 8 little leapers event, Minnie H placed 7th on vault and 8th on floor, placing 14th overall, and Polina V placed 5th on vault, finishing in 19th place overall.

In the largest event of the competition with nearly 70 gymnasts, Ella G placed 20th, Lexi W and Jessica F-M shared 26th place and Erin V placed 30th overall in the level 8 skill seekers event. Meanwhile in the level 8 trailblazer event, Darcey S placed 7th on floor and 11th overall.

Finally, in the level 9 Little Leapers event, competing in the second largest group, Grace W placed 7th on floor and 24th overall, with teammate Georgie N placing 55th overall.

All competing gymnasts performed to the highest standard at the events held over the 2 weekends. With top overall positions and individual apparatus medals, Penny and Freya have secured their places at the National finals competition next month.
