Stevenage Royals 89 – 87 Harlow Hawks (12th November 2025)
THE Hawks came out firing with arguably their best start to a game this season. The opening quarter saw the team moving the ball well, applying strong defensive pressure, and capitalising on fast-break opportunities to take control early. A composed and energetic first ten minutes had the Hawks leading 23–12 at the end of the first quarter.

Maintaining that momentum into the second, the Hawks continued to frustrate the Royals’ offence, forcing turnovers and contesting every shot. The home side began to find some success from mid-range, but Hawks’ teamwork and discipline ensured they stayed ahead, taking a 41–34 lead into the half.
The third quarter saw the Royals begin to find their rhythm, attacking the basket more aggressively and testing the Hawks’ defensive rotations. Despite the shift in momentum, the Hawks fought hard to stay in front, holding a slender 58–56 advantage heading into the final period.
The fourth quarter was a tense battle from start to finish. The Royals edged ahead midway through the quarter, but the Hawks refused to back down. With seconds remaining and trailing by three, a perfectly executed out-of-bounds play led to a clutch three-pointer to tie the game with five seconds left. However, a foul on the inbound handed Stevenage two free throws — both of which they sank to retake the lead. A final attempt to steal the win slipped away as the buzzer sounded, leaving the Hawks narrowly defeated 87–89 after a thrilling contest.
