SANTA will be making an early visit to Harlow on Saturday 6^th December, to surprise some children and their families who have all had a tough year due to bereavement or illness.

The event is being organised by Daniel Robinson & Sons Funeral Directors and uses their entire fleet of 15 limousines. Phil Barrow, Manager said “we shall be collecting the families from home, before we all meet at Gates of Harlow. Santa will arrive shortly after and lead us on a convoy around Harlow”.

The convoy which takes place under police escort, and includes fire appliances from Harlow, will eventually end up at Harlow Playhouse, where they will be met and welcomed by the Deputy Lord Lieutenant, MP and Council Chairman.

The families will also be treated to the matinee performance of this year’s pantomime, before being taken home in the luxury transport for a well-earned rest!

Phil said “this has become an annual event and is so humbling for us to do. The families have all had a tough time, and it’s a day for them to have lots of fun and make them feel special, something some of them have not felt for a while”.

So if you are in Harlow on the day, and see the convoy, please stop, clap, cheer, honk your horn as it passes, and make this a day for them to remember.
