The full tribute from BBC Essex is below.

Our editor, Michael Casey also wanted to pay tribute.
Michael said: “I was interviewed by Dave on a number of occasions at BBC Essex. He also showed genuine interest in Harlow. That is because he was an excellent broadcaster but also so sincere.
“He once hosted a show from The Greyhound pub in Harlow Town Park. Again, he made every Harlow guest so welcome and he really appreciated their contribution to life in Harlow.
“He shall be greatly missed.”
