Harlow man charged with handling stolen goods from Greggs

A HARLOW teenager has been charged with a number of offences
Shane Hafford, aged 19, of Hollyfield, Harlow appeared at Chelmsford magistrates court charged with the following.

On November 24th, 2025 at Harlow dishonestly undertook or assisted in the retention, removal, disposal or realisation of stolen goods, namely food produce from Greggs, of a value unknown belonging to GREGGS by or for the benefit of another or dishonestly arranged so to do, knowing or believing the same to be stolen goods.
On November 24th, 2025 at Harlow had in your possession a joint of cannabis a controlled drug of class B in contravention of section 5(1) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
On November 24th, 2025 at Harlow with intent to cause another harassment, alarm or distress, used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour, thereby causing that person or another harassment, alarm or distress.
Hafford has been remanded on conditional bail.
The next hearing is scheduled for January 7th, 2026.
