A HARLOW man has been charged in connection with a shoplifting offence thanks to an eagle-eyed PCSO out on patrol in Bishop’s Stortford.

Shortly after 2pm yesterday (Monday 19 January) , alcohol was allegedly stolen from Waitrose in Northgate End.

A man was seen leaving the store in suspicious circumstances by a PCSO, who immediately alerted colleagues. He was detained by Neighbourhood Policing Team officers and subsequently arrested.

Bottles of alcohol were found discarded.

William Moller, aged 40, from Millwards in Harlow, has been charged with theft and is due to appear before magistrates’ court on Wednesday 4 February.
