Xtra DAB set to launch new digital radio network at The Harvey Centre

A NEW era of digital radio is arriving in East Hertfordshire and West Essex with the launch of Xtra DAB, a brand-new digital radio network dedicated to expanding listener choice, championing local voices, and supporting independent broadcasters.

The official public launch will take place on Saturday 14th February from midday at The Harvey Centre, Harlow, where visitors are invited to celebrate the arrival of the region’s newest digital radio service with a free, family-friendly event.

Xtra DAB brings together a diverse range of radio stations offering everything from chart hits and specialist music genres to talk, culture, and hyper-local programming. The network has been created to showcase local talent, celebrate community stories, and provide a powerful new platform for independent broadcasters across the region.

We have come on such a long way from the days of listening to Radio Luxembourg and the pirates. I still listen to Caroline. Good luck guys, looking forward to it!
