Harlow Penguins set to merge with Dunmow Atlantis

THE HARLOW Penguins swimming club may be saved from sinking with the news that they are set to merge with Dunmow Atlantis.
As we have reported in a number of articles, the swimming club has been in deep trouble for a number of reasons (see article below).

However, a merger with Dunmow Atlantis seems to indicate that the club has a future.
In a letter seen by YH, the secretary of Dunmow Atlantis Swimming Club, Amanda Simmons has told parents and swimmers of the plans moving forward.
Dunmow Atlantis are highly regarded with swimmers competing at local, county and national level.

Ms Simmons said:
“Thank you for your support and for the positive vote to merge your swimming club with ours. We understand that this decision was not taken lightly, and we would like to reassure you that we are committed to making this transition as smooth and supportive as possible for both swimmers and families.
Over the past few weeks, our coaches have been working closely with your swimmers to ensure training could continue without interruption, and we are delighted to now be moving forward together as one club.
By merging, we aim to provide a stable, Swim England compliant environment that offers:
