A YOUNG Harlow boxer has had an impressive victory as he takes the first few steps in his career.

Oakley Phillips, aged 13 beat Thomas O’Neil from the East London Boxing Academy.

Oakley boxes for Rockets ABC who are based up at The Pinnacles on Elizabeth Way.

Coach Jamie Robinson told YH that he was pleased with Oakley’s discipline and determination.

Jamie said: “He was given a plan and stuck with it. He brought home the silverware and we are all very proud of him.

“We now go again has he fights this weekend”.
