THE HARLOW Green Party has welcomed the news that local elections will be held in Harlow this May.
A Harlow Green Party spokesperson said: “The Harlow Green Party welcome the news that the local elections have been reinstated.
“This is indeed a victory for the voters of Harlow.
“We are fully prepared for this and excited to have the opportunity to get out on the doorstep and engage with as many residents as possible and listen to the issues that matter the most to them.
We always put the needs of residents first and foremost and at the heart of everything we do.
“The people of Harlow deserve the chance to elect the councillors of their choosing, and we are happy they will be able to exercise their democratic right to vote and the Green Party offer candidates who will always represent them with honesty and integrity.
We will be fielding a full slate of candidates in every Harlow ward for both the local and County elections.
“A vote for the Green Party means Hope not Hate!”
I wonder if the green party in Harlow can explain why they didn't take the government to court to get these elections back to the people?
We owe Reform UK for standing up for democracy.
Chris, do you think Reform would be "standing up for democracy" if they expected to lose. And at what financial cost. We will only be voting for 10 or 11 councillors, had we not voted we would still have democratically elected councillors
Vote Green for unlimited immigration, drugs for all, leave NATO and the UK defenceless!!! Plus, free hypnotic breast enlargements. Great plan!!!
Vote Green for sensible policies for working people. Reform are a party of the rich who will wreck local.public services.
Vote Green because they will be campaigning on local issues relevant to local people, not trying to make out that your local council can influence national policies, which they cant.
Vote Green if you want hope not hate, to see the council held to account, local people campaigning for local issues, and national policies backed by science AND care for ALL, and NOT backed by overseas and big corporation cash.
Yes of course we would still have democratically elected councillors. But councillors with out a voice. You can say what you like, starmer s solicitor s advised him not to go a head, because he would loose. That's it in a nut shell. Starmer tried to loose our voices, because his running scared of Reform.
Greens, Greens, the only greens I want in Harlow are the brassicas I get from the allotment, or from the local greengrocer.
One of the most pressing issues is to position the UK in a leadership role in the development and implementation of AI. We have some of the best minds and technicians, but efforts are seriously compromised by our world beating energy prices and falling production thanks largely to the Greens and that lunatic zealot, Ed Milliband. We need to invest in nuclear energy and all the assets we have in the North Sea otherwise we will miss this huge global change and our best brains will continue to leave for places like the USA. Any support for Labour or the Greens is a vote stagnation and slow death. Just read last week's articles in 'The Economist,. Would certainly trust them more than hypnotic Zack and Milliband.
