HARLOW Council has taken a company to court over the presence of rats at Redstone House in Harlow Town Centre.

Beyond Infrastructures Limited appeared at Chelmsford magistrates court charged with the following.
On March 26th, 2025 at Harlow having been served with a notice by Harlow District Council, failed to take steps required by it, in that you failed to take steps for the destruction of rats or mice on land or otherwise for keeping land free from rats and mice at Redstone House, Crown Gate which you were required to be taken by 16th April 2025.
Contrary to section 5 of the Prevention of Damage by Pests Act 1949.
They have pleaded not guilty.
The case was adjourned until August 20th 2026.
It is worth noting that the person with significant control over the company Beyond Infrastructures Limited is John Anthony Murphy, who happens to be a tax exile living in the Isle of Man. I walked past redstone house one evening walking my dog. I had a piece of rubbish to get rid of, just litter like a crisp bag. I saw their bin cupboard doors were wide open and so I thought I’d put it in the bin there. I was in absolute shock that when I saw in the bin, literally hundreds of rats, it looked like the floor was moving, like when indianana jones landed in the snake pit but instead of snakes just hundreds of rats. I kept my piece of litter and got away as soon as possible.
Is it the company’s fault? My opinion is that it is the dirty people that live within the block putting food in the bins or not even bothering putting it in the bin and just tossing it on the floor of the bin shed
Also worth noting David most of the tenants are tax exile as well and most probably all on benefits
Why is it taking so long?
How clueless people are i was a resident in that death trap of a building for 6 years and show picture after picture along with black and white evidence that the only scum concerning that block were the money grabbing incompetent corrupt excuse for a landlord. So don't chat about crap you no nothing about. Wayne
