Harlow resident pleads guilty to £6,000 study grant fraud

A HARLOW resident has pled guilty to fraud.

Nana Adjoa Agyeiwaa, aged 48, of Purford Green, Harlow pled to the following at Chelmsford magistrates court.

Between January 1st, 2022 and June 30th, 2023 at Cambridge in the county of Cambridgeshire committed fraud in that you dishonestly made a false representation, namely by providing false bank statements with the intention of hiding income received and inflating expenses paid therein to maximise her receipt of means tested study grants, intending to make a gain, namely £6000,
for yourself.

Contrary to sections 1 and 2 of the Fraud Act 2006.

Agyeiwaa has been remanded on unconditional bail until her next appearance at Chelmsford magistrates court on June 30th, 2026.
