HARLOW Town’s 3rd XI produced one of the standout performances of the weekend, completing a superb run chase to secure victory over Stansted in Division 4 at Ash Tree Field.

Asked to field first, Harlow faced a formidable task as Stansted piled up 257-4 from their 40 overs. D Hanna led the charge with a commanding 126, well supported by Ryan Cope’s 91 in a dominant partnership that put the visitors in control. Harlow’s bowlers showed resilience despite the pressure, with Daniel Gleeson (2-31) and Sukhdeep Ball (2-40) the pick of the attack in ensuring the target, while imposing, remained within reach.

In reply, Harlow approached the chase with intent and composure. Captain James Williamson set the tone with a fluent 71, striking 11 boundaries to lay a strong foundation. He was well supported by Alex Manning, whose aggressive 48, including three sixes, kept the scoring rate firmly in Harlow’s favour.

The momentum continued through the middle overs as Rehan Kataria added a composed 50, ensuring the chase never stalled. Contributions from Sukhdeep Ball (20) and Faizan Malik (12) maintained the pressure before Hansal Dave’s unbeaten 31 guided Harlow home with two balls to spare.

Chasing down 258 in under 40 overs was a statement of intent from Harlow, highlighting both depth and confidence as their Division 4 campaign gathers early momentum.
