Man charged after seven-hour rooftop stand-off in Harlow

A HARLOW man has been charged with a number of offences.
He was arrested following a seven-hour stand off on a roof in the Ladyshot area of Harlow.
Ben Murphy, 40, of no fixed abode in the Harlow area has been charged with
Four counts of criminal damage to property.
One count of cause wasteful employment of police.
Assault a constable in the execution of his/her duty.
Assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Theft.
He appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates Court today (May 9).
