A QUAD bike has been seized after officers chased a man they spotted acting suspiciously in the Potter Street and Carters Mead area of Harlow.

The suspect managed to escape on foot, but the illegally-ridden quad was recovered.
The officers were on proactive patrols in the area as part of work to prevent violent crime.
“If you are caught illegally riding a quad bike, a privately-owned e-scooter, or an e-bike that travels faster than the 15.5mph limit, we will seize it,” said Sgt Toby Dale-Cooke.
“It’s an issue we’ve been tackling for some time. Nobody in Harlow should have to worry about being knocked over by a reckless rider, and ignorance of the law is no excuse.”
I thought Gary Roberts said he rarely sees any coppers in Potter Street. Gary, you need to get out more.
Mr Forman, a police officer on foot in Potter Street, Really? I suspect they just lost their way to Church Langley for a sandwich at Tesco's. And the culprit got away: must be because they like their cars! If a police officer did regular foot patrols in Potter Street they would know the driver and stop it at source. As for getting out more: Do you know if the streets are safe?!!!
Certainly need police foot patrols in harlow always someone up to no good.
Nobody needs to worry lol so we why do we keep seeing theses e scotters being used on roads cycle trakes and paths because the law says they can only be used on private land. 🤔 (and to make it worse the council want to bring them to the town centre.) there is not enough Bobbys on the beat to sort the problem out let alone haveing somewhere to store them before they are crushed not enough money in police budget that's just scotters let alone the bikes. But we'll done getting the quad police should use it to chase the e bikes lol 🤔😉
Tony S , where did you get the info that the council wants to bring scooters to the town centre. I work for the council and that`s new to me!
