Harlow MP Chris Vince on fact finding mission as he hears from local students on possible dangers of social media

OVER the last few weeks, Harlow MP Chris Vince has been visiting a number of schools as part fo a fact finding mission on young people and social media.

It is a difficult thing to quantify. Sometimes the media can portray every young person as a self absorbed trying to live the “Insta life”. Then again, thirty years ago, we would refer to that “Kodak moment” sort of person.
But there are clearly deep concerns. Following his visits, we spoke to the Harlow MP about what he had learned and what he now does about the information.
Social media access is for parents to control not the government. This is just another way to get digital IDs. Why when our country is collapsing under decades of poor political leadership are they focusing on things like this. One thought would be because they hate social media (like they hate pubs) as they cannot control the narrative. In short Chris like the rest of our political class are the problem not the solution. The key takeaway: another excuse for Chris Vince to visit schools.
If that is what £98,599 plus expenses get's me, I want my money back. I'd love to hear his views on the Labour government using whatsapp messages that dissapear to run the country.
Dear Seamus, and mobile phones that get nicked at the most convenient of moments and then the luvvie fails to give the police an accurate location of the theft until after CCTV hard drives have been overwritten. I think the excuse "I couldn't work out the address because my phone had been nicked (no satnav)" is rather lame.
Who could be against safeguarding children online.
