Saint Mark’s Netball Team Win West Essex Championship Again!
INSPIRED by former St Mark’s pupil Jo Harten’s success in the Commonwealth Games, St Mark’s U16’s Netball team beat Davenant Foundation School 38-7 in the Final of the West Essex Championships to take the title.
This is the fifth consecutive year this team has won the West Essex Title as they have progressed through the age groups. PE teachers, and team coaches, Emily Webster and Erica Larke said, “Having such a fantastic role model as Jo to emulate has spurred the girls on, and they hope to be able to watch England’s Roses playing in the World Championships in Liverpool next year.
“The school is very proud of the U16 girls’
incredibly consistent success which is a well-deserved reward for their hard work, dedication and excellent team work.”
