A MAN with a plan to drive his van through the McDonalds drive-thru in Staple Tye came to grief when the van got stuck and wedged into the roof.

As you can see from our film, the van got wedged just before the first order window causing damage to both property and van.

Police were on hand to deal with the incident.

McDonalds staff were also on hand to inform customers that the drive through was closed but the main restaurant remained open for foot customers.
