THE children at Pear Tree Mead Academy had been working towards learning the Charleston for a dance festival. The staff decided that they wanted to learn the dance as well. Mrs Townsend and Miss Townsend spent every week teaching the children and staff the dance moves.

The staff and children decided to perform a dance off as the opening ceremony of our sports day this year.

The staff and children danced alongside each other in front of the parents and the rest of the school.

All the children enjoyed the performance but agreed that they couldn’t decide which team was the best!
