HARLOW athlete Danny Raymond earned a hard fought fourth place in the under-15’s 800 metres at the National Championships in Bedford.

In his first full season of track and field, the Stewards Academy athlete has blazed a trail through two-lap racing.

This was always a step up in class with athletes a few seconds faster than Danny lining up.

With the eventual gold and silver medallists breaking free, Woodford Green runner Danny could have easily ended up in no-mans land but he dug deep to claim fourth place in a personal best time of 2.01.87.
