Tany’s Dell Enhanced Provision Perform at Chelmsford Cathedral

ON Friday 6th December, Tany’s Dell Enhanced Provision for deaf children, were invited to perform a Christmas carol at Chelmsford Cathedral in the carol service for deaf and deafblind people.

Eight children from Tany’s Dell school performed their song to over two hundred people. The children chose to sign Little Drummer Boy. They practised daily to prepare for the event.

Rebecca Reay, Teacher of the Deaf said, “The children were so excited to sign their song to everyone. They did a fantastic job. We are very proud of them. The children were some of the youngest performers on the day.

“As well as having the opportunity to perform, the children really enjoyed meeting other deaf children and learning new signs from other performances”.

Elissa Brignal, Teacher of the Deaf said, “We attend many events throughout the year for deaf children as this broadens their social experiences”.
