A HARLOW-based care team is going to great measures to make sure that all their clients, both elderly and vulnerable, are protected during the outbreak of coronavirus.

Diamond Unique Care Ltd is setting the standards that is needed in the healthcare sector.

Millie, owner of the care agency is going to great lengths to make sure she protects all her staff and clients so they can continue to provide services to those needing constant care and all their staff are in self isolation when not at work and only ever have to leave home to do shopping if they can’t get online.

They are wearing PPE such as gloves and masks should they have to go out.

Millie set up Diamond Unique Care Ltd to help support clients to live independently. They have a dynamic and diverse experienced community team.

A spokesperson said: “We cannot wait for the government any longer to provide PPE. We must act now as those we care for are in the high risk bracket and we want to keep them safe and protected. It’s hard to do if we don’t have the equipment available and are at risk of losing staff and clients, so I’ve outsourced more PPE such as gloves, masks, aprons, shoes covers and body suits to provide to the whole team.

“We want the government to act faster to get more PPE and start testing more healthcare workers not just the NHS staff but also those in social care immediately, so we can continue to provide the best community care for these individuals and take some pressure off the NHS staff.
