Letter to Editor: Thanks to Hip Hop Pop
Communities / Sun 12th Apr 2020 at 07:52am
Dear Editor,
FOR the last three Saturdays Hip Hop Pop founder Jenny Bater-Sinclair and Victoria Bater-Sinclair have brought sunshine into our homes with their weekly Zoom Quiz. The first week had 50+ families and tonight there were 98 families involved, Hip Hop Pop prides itself as the Hip Hop Pop family.
Hip Hop Pop are well known in the local community and schools, their performances are always sought after. They have been recognised in the past with the Town Centre Awards and Heart4Harlow Awards in 2018 however, at this difficult time on lock-down, they have to be commended for keeping the Hip Hop Pop family alive.
It was only recently that Jen and Victoria lost her mum and mother in law, Gill Bater. An announcement had been made to open Jill Bater’s Doggy Cafe in Gill’s memory at Harlow Playhouse. Sadly, with the lock down, this did not happen, however when we do eventually come out of this lock-down we will remember the people that brought a ray of sunshine in the past and most recently the ones that brought joy into our homes despite their own personal grief.
Thank you once again Jenny Bater-Sinclair and VIctoria Bater-Sinclair.
Frances Mason
Councillor for Toddbrook
