Burglary in Water Lane may be linked to earlier gun incident

DETECTIVES are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary in Water Lane, Roydon.
Police were called at around 2.30am this morning, Thursday 28 May with reports that a house has been broken into.
Six men forced entry to the property and threatened those inside with knifes and an unknown substance was thrown on one of the men.
An ambulance attended but no serious injuries were reported.
The men were described as wearing dark tracksuits.
Detectives believe this might be linked to another incident in that road last night in which two men were arrested. Officer remain on the scene and extra patrols will be carried out today in the area.
