EPUT Governor Elections 2020

MEMBERS of the public are invited to become Governors at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT). Nominations for the Governor Elections will open Tuesday 16 June and close at 5pm, on Thursday 16 July 2020.

We will be holding virtual Prospective Governor Workshops throughout June where attendees find out more information about becoming a Governor, what the role involves and hear from our current Governors.

There are 7 vacancies for Public Governors throughout Essex, Hertfordshire and Suffolk.

Governors play an important role as they reflect the views of their constituents. They promote and help support the Trust’s strategy and hold the Board’s Non-Executive Directors to account. Governors can contribute and make a difference to patient care. There are:

3 vacancies in Mid and South Essex;
1 vacancies in North East Essex and Suffolk;
3 vacancies in West Essex and Hertfordshire.
All Governors will hold terms of office as set out in the Trust’s constitution; this is normally for a period of up to three years with a maximum of three terms of office.

EPUT provide community health, mental health and learning disability services for a population of approximately 1.3 million people throughout Essex and Suffolk.

EPUT also provide immunisation and some inpatient services in Bedfordshire.

Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) was formed on 1 April 2017 following the merger of North Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (NEP) and South Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (SEPT).
