Man charged following disturbance on M11

A MAN from Cheshire has been charged following a disturbance on the M11 on Thursday 25 March.

An officer from Highways England, and several police officers, reported being assaulted.

Robert King, 37, of New Road, Childer Thornton, is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court today, Saturday 27 March.

He has been charged with: assault with intent to resist arrest, two counts of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place, possession of a knife blade in a public place, four counts of assault by beating of an emergency worker, failure to provide a specimen for analysis and driving without due care and attention.
