THERE are no apparent marginals in Harlow but there have been some close scrapes in the past.

Harlow Common is one of them. The Conservatives got within 18 votes a few years ago.

The Labour candidate is Emma Toal.. If there was such a thing as a 31-year-old veteran then Emma Toal is one.

A product of St Mark’s school council, Harlow Youth Council and a councillor since 2012, Emma has really grown into the role (s) and is now quite a font of political knowledge and analysis.

Last time out Labour won by 201 votes but UKIP and the Harlow Alliance Party took nearly 500 votes or alternatively, 32% of the vote.

It is a bit of a question as to where those 500 votes go. Don’t think the answer is obvious.
