Harlow Vikings set to take on MoonWalk for charity
Charity / Tue 11th May 2021 at 09:20am

A FEW weeks ago, whilst in Sumners, we bumped into three good ladies out for a walk.
It looked like a practice walk and it was indeed.
Michele Talbot (pic right) told us a little bit more.
Michele said:
“The MoonWalk is a yearly event that unites people and raises money for breast cancer.
“As a group, we knew a number of people who had suffered from this disease and who had thankfully come out the other side kicking and screaming their way back to health.
Our group name Viking Warriers was created from two of these people who were going through treatment. As a group, last time I checked we had raised over £1,500 but we definitely need to increase this.
On the 15th May, three of us will be walking 26.2 miles starting in Sawbridgeworth but the bulk of the walk will be around our lovely Harlow. Three more will be completing 13 miles and another of us will be walking 8.
The ones hoping to complete 26.2 miles are: Michele Talbot, Linda Pring and Freyja Towers
Three people completing the 13 mile walk are;
Elaine Harris
Ben Adams
Nancy Watson
The lady completing 8 miles is Kim Burns
