HARLOW MP, Robert Halfon, and the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, Dr Therese Coffey, sincerely praised the staff at the Harlow Job Centre Plus in the House of Commons yesterday.
Mr Halfon thanked the Harlow staff “for the work they have done in supporting vulnerable families during the pandemic” and the Minister agreed that “that they do an excellent job”.
Mr Halfon also welcomed the Government’s multi-billion pound investment into job opportunities for young Harlow residents with the Kickstart Scheme and the Apprenticeship Guarantee which he said “will provide a real incentive for employers to employ young people”.
He further asked for the Government to look again at potential changes to the apprenticeship levy to further support the most disadvantaged young people to get apprenticeships – something the Minister pledged to look into.
