Essex Police has sealed off a section off cycle track in Harlow.
The section of track runs from Momples Road (near Purple Emperor pub) to the back of Blackbush Spring.
Two officers were guarding the scene when YH attended at just before 9am.
YH has contacted their press office and will publish a statement in due course.
More follows.
Unfortunately it looks like the cycle network needs to be covered by cctv.
Everything In Harlow needs covering by CCTV !
Police do not always pay attention to CCTV.
Probably related to the open drug dealing that occurs frequently on that stretch of cycle track. Or the Slavs that hang around in the woods alongside the track drinking beer.
Definitely agree cctv is needed not the first time in harlow
That cycle path is used by young children to get to school and clubs ( during holidays, before and after open school days and leisure) It’s not well lit either. I have seen many things down there. There is always broken glass bottles and litter that never gets cleared until routine clearance. Labour apparent run area.
