PUPILS at Roydon Primary Academy, in Roydon, competed in their houses in a Times Tables Rock Stars event.

The online platform encourages young people to have fun while learning their times tables.
The tournament challenged pupils to complete times tables games from home to earn points for their houses.

The three-week competition saw pupils take part in three rounds.

Whitney Watson, maths subject lead, said: “It has been a great way to engage children with their times tables and have fun while doing so.

“Children are making excellent progress.”

The tournament winners were Green house, earning extra play time and hot chocolate.
