HARLOW Director ‘Martin Colton’ is currently planning ‘Open Auditions’ for The Christmas production of The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe. To be performed at The Victoria Hall Theatre in Old Harlow.
“We are looking to create a show that is Bigger, Brighter and Bolder than anything you’ve seen achieved by a community theatre before!”
The auditions will be at The Victoria Hall Theatre on:
Sunday 10th July for Ages 11 up to 17 & Sunday 17th July for Adult (17+)
Anyone planning on attending the auditions should arrive at 10.30am for an 11am start. The audition will then finish at 3pm approximately.
There is no need to prepare anything, just come in sensible clothing for movement. It would also be advisable to bring a drink and snack. There will be chaperones at the theatre so parents/careers can leave their children (once contact forms are complete) and collect at the end.
All parts will be available to all genders and ages. All characters will be involved in ensemble songs with a few solo performances.
The Victoria Hall Theatre is a charitable organisation, which looks to develop and give opportunities to local talent.
“We have an amazing team working behind the scenes, led by The Artist, Izzy Lacey who has created some very special puppets which we can’t wait to share with you”.
The rehearsals will start in September. Sunday’s 10am until 3pm. Then on Tuesday & Wednesday evenings 7:30pm until 10pm (9pm for under 17’s). Not everyone will be called to every rehearsal.
The Production runs from December 17th Until the 31st.
This musical version is adapted by Glyn Robbins from the much-loved CS Lewis book. Which follows Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy embark on a magical mystery tour to the Land of Narnia through the wardrobe. There they encounter the wicked White Witch & Aslan the lion. With adventure and laughter ago the way.
