HARLOW dance school of 20 years, Hip Hop Pop, whom are based at the Harlow Playhouse we’re delighted when they were approached by chair James Griggs, of the Harlow Playhouse Trust (charity reg no: 1082649 , offering the opportunity for 14 Hip Hop Pop members to receive a 6 month scholarship.

With so many committed and deserving members at Hip Hop Pop, it was difficult for James, the trust and Hip Hop Pop directors Jenny ad Victoria to whittle it down to 14. After much deliberation, the 14 have been decided and scholarship receivers, who are aged 5 to 19, will be annonced via Hip Hop Pop’s social channels and private messages this week.

Scholarships were awarded for anything from studnets overcoming difficult times, family financial difficulties, commitment and passion for dance and/or the group, achieving in the face of medical challenges, wellbeing boosts, achievement amongst peers and many more reasons. Every applicant (of which there were so many), deserved a scholarship and Hip Hop Pop wishes to thank them all for taking the time to apply.
