Stewards Academy raised hundred at special charity event

STEWARDS Academy held a summer charity event in July 2022. On a gloriously sunny Saturday afternoon, we welcomed members of our academy and local community to join in the fun and entertainment!

Activities included: glitter tattoos, a lucky dip, face painting, a tombola, a raffle, and hook the duck, to name a few! The refreshment stand selling hot dogs was a great hit, as was the ice cream van on the hot day! Entertainment was provided in partnership with Dance Fusion. The talented dancers showcased a number of fabulous pieces, and the crowd clapped and cheered with appreciation.
Amanda Atkinson, event co-ordinator said: “There was a wonderful turn out of parents old and new and so many students who also came along to support. The whole event was a great success and we raised nearly £600 for the Whizzkids charity. This really was a fabulous event for the end of term. A huge thank you to all the staff who gave up their Saturday to set up and help, and to those that did the preparations in advance.”
Di da Vighi, Enrichment Co-ordinator said: “This was an excellent example of the academy community working together to raise money for charity. We have a number of charity activities coming up in the autumn term, one of which will be a Christmas Fete, in aid of the Stewards Christmas Appeal, where we hope to open the academy doors once more…”
