Robert Halfon calls on government to introduce special energy price for schools

CONSERVATIVE MP for Harlow, Robert Halfon has called on the government to introduce special price for energy for schools.
He’s hoping a “public services tariff” could help them during the current cost of living crisis.
Mr Halfon spoke to BBC Essex.
While this is commendable, the reality is no section of society can afford the high cost of fuel, and printing another 100 billion( liz truss plan) to freeze fuel costs for the general public will just make our problems worse, especially when printing too much money since 2008 has been the prime mover to the mess we are in. The government do not seem to realise that the small to medium enterprise sector is where there focus should be, because most of us work in this sector, and if these businesses start failing due to the huge fuel cost increases( there is no price cap for business) then no amount of freezing cost for the public will help if they don’t have jobs. There are no easy/ painless solutions to the mess we are, and the government is doing us all a huge disservice by pretending there are. Take five minutes and read some foreign news outlets views on what is going on with UK politics and economy and you will soon realise we have a painfully time ahead.
This is insane, what about businesses, we cannot focus on the state. The state has caused this problem yet again.
This is a nationwide problem. One sector cannot be highlighted more than others. How will charity hospices such as St Clare manage or care homes? I fear the Tories and Liz Truss will not be big enough to cope with this problem as they concentrate on keeping big business happy.
Let's be real here - even if there is a "public services tariff" which Mr. Halfon is proposing - this will be paid for with budget cutbacks elsewhere mandated by his very own party.
Businesses pay for everything in this country. If you don’t have successful businesses then there is no money to pay for any of the social care, health care or schooling. It’s a fundamental economic principle for a successful country, which seems to be too often overlooked nowadays.
This is going to hit more than just schools, which will probably have to go on 2, to 3, day week s, same as college s, what about hospices, hospital s, and thousands of businesses, small and large. This will effect everything and every body. Not to mention the fuel costs getting to and frow from work, not to mention food on our tables, and theses monstrous bill costs. What the hell.
why schools ???hospitals. business. old people homes and old people homes etc
