Will we ever have any green land left!! We'll be having London postcodes soon, swallowed up by concrete, this really needs to be opposed.

Awful destruction of our green belt. Destroying a hole Eco system.

The Planning Inspector needs to see ALL of the negative comments received on this zoom call.

The London Green Belt Council has produced a map on the web showing in detail the massive number of proposals that remove Green Belt from around London. Some 400 hectares will be removed in the Parish of North Weald Basset which covers North Weald, Thornwood and Hastingwood (Latton Priory). Unfortunately I can't recall any political party actively opposing this situation.

Will there be a direct link to the M11/A414 roundabout or will this new development be served through the 'burger' roundabout at the Moat House hotel ?

Kevo, there will be a direct road from the development to a spot between Junction 7 and Thornwood. This will create a rat run through the estate for anyone on the West side of Harlow who wants to travel to Epping and beyond or to miss much of Southern Way and the hamburger roundabout.

There should be a recording available I believe following this Q&A session which took place last night. I could only make the latter part of the session due to a prior commitment. The responses from the developers consortium were not particularly on point and were referring to the EFDC plans which gave the impression that any plans put forward by Harlow Council would be overridden. I know Cllr Nick Churchill was present so he may wish to correct me. I understand that there will be NO social housing. I am also not sure how these additional commuters will get to Epping station as the car park is full very early during the weekdays. Doctors and dentists and travel infrastructure including roads and insufficient active travel alternatives and independent biodiversity reports all point to another development that only the developers and HGGT want. The residents on the call last need did not appear to be in favour. A planning application will be made without any of this detail.

This is a crazy idea!! We should protect the green belt, it’s there for a reason! But the other thought is this, we can’t see a doctor or dentist as it is because they are over stretched with the amount of people in the town now. Our hospital can’t cope, our schools can’t cope, our town centre is already a failing disgrace and the roads and infrastructure can’t cope. The council can’t afford to look after those of us that already live in Harlow without adding even more people. Nothing short of reckless!!!

If anyone in a position of authority bangs on about protecting the environment, they deserve to get the middle finger as THEY are the ones destroying the environment by approving the constant burying of land under concrete, tarmac and bricks !!!
