LAST weekend saw Innovation Multisport members take part in a plethora of events! 

On Sat 20th July, Cheryl and Brooke Ponton, mother amd daughter took part in the Queen Elizabeth Park 10k. They have both become hooked on running over the last 6 months after Cheryl ran her first half marathon and Brooke getting a ballot place for The London Marathon next year.

On Sun 21st July, it was the St Albans Summer 10k and Bob Draper and Lee Dawson went along and took part on the fairly flat course. Both said it was a well organised event and would definitely do again.

London to Southend bike ride event was also on Sunday, and it saw Steve Ponton cycling 65 miles on London and Essex roads. Well done Steve! Ride London next year!! 

Also on Sunday in Bedfordshire was the Bedfor Tri Relays at Box End Park. A team of 2 relay where each member takes it in turn to swim 750m, then cycle 23k on undulating country roads, followed by a 5k run on a grassy course. 

The club had 2 teams entered, Innovation Oldie-Sport were Andrew Kitson, Jon Waight and Simon Couper who are all pros in taking part in triathlons. They came 3rd in their Open Vet category! 

Begin-ovation were Sarah Walker, Emily Salmaron and Harvey Parkinson who were all triathlon newbies and did a fantastic effort for their first attempt! They all really enjoyed it and already want to sign up for next year!
