THE St Clare Hospice charity shop in South Street, Bishop’s Stortford, has been nominated by local people as their favourite charity shop. The Charity Retail Association received nearly 6,5000 nominations for charity shops across the UK, a shortlist of 6 shops per region was announced last week, and the Bishop’s Stortford St Clare shop was one of them!

Kandi Burnett, the shop manager since it opened in 2022, is asking people to vote online for St Clare to help clinch the trophy. Kandi said, “We are delighted to have been nominated by the shoppers in Bishop’s Stortford. The kind words coming from our customers have given us such a boost.

Kandi explained, ‘We are a small team of staff and volunteers who are dedicated to providing excellent customer service and raising as much money as we can for St Clare Hospice. We know how important the specialist palliative care St Clare provides is for people of the town and so many surrounding villages.
