IT was yet another great feat of fundraising for funeral directors, Daniel Robinson & Sons, who have funeral homes in Old Harlow and Wych Elm, when they held their Annual Charity Golf Day on Wednesday, 11th September, at Colne Valley Golf Club.

All the funds raised are being used to change young lives in the local area for the better, covering the cost of specialist private physiotherapy and equipment, to help local children who were born with Cerebral Palsy. This level of physiotherapy is not available through the NHS, but it gives the children the opportunity to greatly increase their mobility, helping to equip them to lead much more independent lives in the future.

It is also hoped that some funds can once again be made available to help Harlow Wheelchair Racing Club, which is run by Paralympian Richard Chiassaro, and which attracts children with disabilities from all over the county.
It was a fantastic day for the thirty teams taking part, including Harlow firm, Anchor Press, although they did have to brave a couple of hailstorms along the way! The winning team was The Lime Trees Care Group led by James Moor.
Gary Neill, Managing Director of Daniel Robinson & Sons is delighted with the success of the event.
Mr Neill said “This is a huge day on our community events calendar, we work hard to make it special for everyone who supports the day and, most importantly, we work hard because we know that every penny raised will go towards helping these very special, and determined young children and teens, who will benefit from the help that it provides.
“Thank you to all those people and businesses who donated or took part’”
