Train services disrupted after person hit by train

REGRETABLY, train services via Broxbourne are being disrupted due to a person hit by a train.

Train services will not be able to run from Broxbourne into London. Please defer your journey and do not travel until later today.

Routes affected:

  • Liverpool Street to Hertford East
  • Liverpool Street to Stansted Airport
  • Liverpool Street to Cambridge/Cambridge North
  • Stratford to Bishops Stortford

They are supporting the emergency and Network Rail response teams to re-open the line as soon as possible.

Alternative Travel Options

Tickets dated for today (Wednesday 09 October 2024) will be accepted tomorrow (Thursday 10 October 2024)

You can use your Greater Anglia ticket on the following alternatives;

  • Great Northern between Hertford North and Moorgate
  • Great Northern and Thameslink between Cambridge and Kings Cross / St Pancras International
  • London Underground on any reasonable route to make your journey
  • London Buses between Cheshunt and Stratford via Tottenham Hale
  • London Overground between Cheshunt and Liverpool Street via Seven Sisters. Stations on the Seven Sisters route are only a short distance from those on the Tottenham Hale route.
