Little Parndon By-Election: Can Reform UK rain on Labour’s parade?
News / Wed 9th Oct 2024 at 03:33pm
REFORM UK polled over 9,000 votes in the General Election of 2024. That is over 20% of the electorate.
Some feel, that it was a protest vote in the same way that UKIP was in 2014.
But there are others who think that this could be the beginning of something.
The candidate in the Little Parndon by-election is Peter Lamb. Peter was a Conservative candidate a few years ago.
We spoke to Peter about his campaign and whether he thinks Reform UK are here for the long haul.
Full details of candidates are on our Politics page.
Comes across as a sensible committed chap, and it would be great to get Reform challenging the Uniparty!
I have just met Peter recently but am so convinced he will make a great councillor as he believes he can help those in his Ward.
The Tories cannot lose the council, voting for reform will shake up the status quo
Reform are worse than the Tories and Labour combined. No idea on budgets or economics. Using "common sense" isn't going to sort this country out.
Peter seems to have his head screwed on. Personally I can’t bare the thought of voting Con or Lab again, enough is enough so room for something new I feel.
Between them, in successive governments, Labour and Conservative have ruined this country. Nobody should ever vote for either of them again for the damage they’ve done.
