THE booking phone line hours for shared public transport service, DigiGo, are increasing. The change means there will also be a new telephone number to book the service.

Effective from Wednesday 23 October, the phone line will be available from 9.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays). Residents should use the new number – 0345 603 7633 – to book the service from then.

Following the expansion of the DigiGo Service in August 2024, the latest changes have been made in response to increased demand and feedback from residents. 

Extending the phone line hours means the service is even more accessible. It further enables residents, primarily those without access to the TravelEssex app, to receive the support they need to book their journeys.

Councillor Tom Cunningham, Essex County Council Cabinet Member for Highways, Infrastructure and Sustainable Transport, said: “Extending the DigiGo phone line hours demonstrates a real commitment to listening to residents, acting on their feedback and to iterating the service. This extension will benefit all residents, particularly those who do not have access to a smartphone. By providing an alternative for booking journeys, DigiGo continues to ensure that everyone in our community can enjoy modern day public transport options.”

This DigiGo service is available to all residents within the travel zone, offering a flexible, on-demand system that connects rural and suburban communities to key destinations without the restrictions of fixed routes or timetables.
