Eastern Counties Division South

Harlow Town 1 v 1 AS London

WHEN the season is done and dusted this game could be viewed two ways. If Harlow are promoted then they managed to carve out a point on Saturday against a very durable third placed AS London.

If they lose out then this was a clear case of dropping two vital points. That is just one point in six this week.

We also have to take into account, at this point, that second placed Hackney Wick,, have to take on AS London both home and away. That will not be an easy task.

As for this game? Harlow Town never looked in it. They started well, always looked busy, especially Terrell Egbri on the right hand side but the Hawks flattered to deceive.

The quality of their crosses was exceptional. The quality of their chances in front of goal was awful.

AS London went ahead through a Reece Simpson penalty in the 13th minute. They looked solid throughout.

They could have and should have put this game to bed.

Harlow equalised through a Denzal Effah free kick in the 56th minute.

But after that, Hawks never really convinced in front of goal. That may concern them with the five games left to play.

Harlow remain top. Hackney are one point behind with a game in hand.

Hackney can get a maximum of 94 points. Harlow 92 points. Just one team gains automatic promotion.

Harlow return to league action on Saturday at home to Coggeshall Town.
