Harlow Arts Trust showcases work of late-blooming artist

Entertainment / Wed 14th May 2025 at 07:55am

THIS May, Harlow Arts Trust are proud to feature the work of Vicki Scales in their Window Galleries at the Gibberd Gallery — a heartfelt showcase from a late-blooming artist with a natural talent.

Vicki was born and raised in Edmonton, North London, and now celebrates 57 years of marriage surrounded by a growing family that includes three daughters, nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Her journey into painting began just three years ago, and in that short time, she has developed a deeply personal and expressive style — entirely self-taught and rooted in a passion for people.

“I continue to learn with each piece I create,” Vicki says. “My greatest joy comes from capturing people from all walks of life, and I look forward to developing my practice further.”

Her work is now on display in the Window Galleries, at the entrance of the Civic Centre.

The exhibition presents a diverse variety of works that display a clear sense of Vicki’s developing style and approach.

If you are interested in purchasing a painting, a price list is available in the Gibberd Gallery.

Don’t miss this opportunity to support a local artist and discover a truly inspiring body of work from someone who proves it’s never too late to begin creating.
