A Vintage Summer Outing

Whether you love a vintage day out or you are a classic car enthusiast, a lover of handmade crafts or simply seeking a fun day out, our two vintage events are not to be missed.  There will be lots of stalls, live entertainment, music, dancing, children’s entertainment, vintage cars and a range of food and drink caterers. We are at Cressing Temple Barns on Sunday 13^th July and at Layer Marney Tower on Sunday 24^th August.  Come along with your family or friends for a fun nostalgic day out, and dogs are welcome too.

Supporting the charity and tasting beer

We are delighted to be one of the chosen charities for the 2025 Chelmsford Beer Festival taking place in July.  If you are planning to attend the festival, please visit our stall which will be manned by some of our hardworking volunteers.

Well done cyclists!

Thank you to all the riders in our ride For Helen cycle event in May.  The sun shone and around 700 cyclists enjoyed pedalling through the Essex countryside while raising valuable funds for the charity.  Thank you to the volunteers that made the event a huge success – those that helped in the-run up to the event, those at the event hub and those marshalling the routes.  Finally, a big thank you to the local businesses that sponsored the event or donated refreshments.

Saturday 14 June and Saturday 19 July – Donation Days at our centre on The Street, Hatfield Peverel.  Bring along your good quality pre-loved items.  Parking is available to drop off your items.
